ART FOR LITTLE HANDS

Art for Little Hands offers parents and young children (Ages 2-4) a place to explore colorful, tactile activities while developing skills that are important for later learning.

“Every child learns differently,” “Every child learns differently,”says group leader Virginia Whitted, who is a former preschool teacher and the mom of three young children. “When you play alongside your child during one of our art sessions, you find out how your child learns. Plus, you experience the fun of doing art together.”

Activities like silly shapes, sticky mosaics, and sand paintings use non-toxic materials that engage children in exploring shapes, colors, and textures. At the end of each session, the child has a project to take home and proudly display Call us to reserve your space.

Mar 18th, 2009 by admin

Do you have a child age 3 to 6 years old who loves art? Artbeat’s new Drawing for Children is a class designed to give your child the basic skills he or she needs to begin to draw realistically. Taught in a fun, low-key format, this class is designed to build confidence as children learn to make portraits of themselves and others. As a bonus, parents (who are required to stay with their children) may find themselves feeling more confident about their own ability to doodle!

painting while you meet other moms.

Why sand art?

1) Most children find playing with sand to be a fun experience that is
both exciting and soothing

2) Our sand painting is easy – no glue or mess – and it’s easy to get great
results

3) It’s tactile, and helps children develop fine motor coordination

4) Children learn rhythm and order through play.
