What if my child wants to make a project other than what is being offered?
Regular studio activities will be available at prices of $10 and up. This is in addition to the $15 Pizza Night charge. No discount coupons may be used; Summer Studio Pass OK. Availability of some studio projects may be limited, depending on number of participants.

Is there a restroom available for my child?
ARTBEAT does not have a restroom available, so we recommend you take care of these needs before arriving. There is a public restroom nearby; you will need to give advance permission for your child to go there unattended.

Who will be supervising my child?
An ARTBEAT adult staff member will be in charge of the activities and will be present at all times.

How many children will be there?
We will accommodate as few as one participant and as many as 12.

Are there any rules the children need to know about?
Children need to be aware of the basic guidelines governing our studio use: responsible use of materials, polite behavior, sharing instructor's attention, taking turns with materials that are in demand, no electronics in use (cell phones only for contacting parents).

Can I arrange to pick up later than 8:00 PM?
Yes, you can arrange this 24 hours in advance, at the rate of $15 per hour (or portion thereof).

Can you describe the special activities that will be available?
The following activities will be offered. Kids can try one project or many, as thoughtful time allows.

Awesome Greeting Cards
Everyone needs greeting cards: to say Happy Birthday to a friend, Thank You to an aunt or uncle, or just to say Hello to a grandparent. But you won't be making ordinary cards with markers and stickers. Instead, you'll be practicing paper arts: layering backgrounds, punching paper shapes, creating collages, learning how to apply metallic foils, and even practicing fun lettering styles.

Mini Magnets
Make your own magnets for the fridge. Your custom designs can include original drawings, initials and words, or fanciful designs made with tiny buttons, jewels, and animal shapes.

Beaded Jewelry
Stringing beads is fun, but making your own beads is even better! You'll be decorating wooden beads and learning to roll beads out of paper and felt. Then string them together with tiny glass beads for unusual combinations you can wear as rings, bracelets, and necklaces.

Finger Monsters
Next time you feel like fighting with your siblings, let these finger monsters do it for you! Create crazy creatures, bizarre beasts, and persnickety personalities that reflect your own imagination. Starting with a sturdy felt tube, you'll add faces, appendages, hair, and googly eyes until you've created the ideal monster to match your mood.
