2) If card making on the dining room table is not your cup of tea, come to the kick-off to our Valentine Making Extravaganza Saturday, Feb 8 and Sunday, Feb 9. We’ll set out a buffet of wonderful ingredients to choose from, and you’ll be able to make as many cards as you need to for the flat fee of $12 per person. We’ll also be offering one special card to make for free that you can give to someone special. The Valentine making is for all ages. It ends at 5 PM on Saturday so that we can set up for an amazing evening of creative fun for adults. Please note, there are some birthday parties scheduled for this weekend, so seating will be limited at times. To make sure everyone who wants to can make the Valentines they need, Valentine making will be available in the Studio every day through February 13th.

3) On Saturday evening, February 8th, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM come to Artbeat to sample a Dessert and Wine Tasting offered by Chef Ava Vatsky and food/wine blogger Michele Meagher of MicheleUncorked. Sorry, this evening event is not for children.

At the Tasting, Ava will be offering samples of her mouth-watering Valentine cakes, tarts and truffles. You’ll have the chance to order from Ava’s Valentine’s Day menu, which includes decadent chocolate cakes for two, raspberry Linzer tarts, handmade chocolate truffles, and more, all made fresh-to-order with top quality, organic ingredients and delivered straight to your door. All orders placed at the event will receive a free gift of Valentine’s Day cookies for you and your sweeties.

Ava’s desserts will be paired with wines carefully selected by the experts at Arlington’s Mystic Wine Shoppe, where you can discoverthe best in wines, craft beer, and specialty spirits.

As a special gift, MicheleUncorked will share a suggested menu for a night of easy – and romantic – entertaining at home. If you love to sip and love to cook and love to eat, you’ll find a kindred spirit at, a food blog where food, wine and music mingle. Published by Michèle Meagher, it’s where you’ll find delicious recipes from starters to desserts, suggested wine pairings and great music to sip and cook by.

An evening in the Artbeat Studio would not be complete without something special from our cache of fun and easy projects to decorate your home. Learn how to fold origami hearts as placecards for the table, or to string as a decorative garland. Then jewel and bead a glass votive candle holder to light your dinner table.

4) When special Valentine gifts are needed for moms and dads, grandmas, aunties, and best friends, the Artbeat Studio offers everyone the chance to make handmade gifts. Choose from heart-shaped boxes to paint and bedazzle, heart-shaped pillows to lace together, picture frames to decorate, bunny dolls to design and dress, favorite animals  to decoupage, and much more. Walk in any day to make your choice and receive free instruction; project prices start at $10.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
