Dolphins, like many other high-level predators, play an important role in maintaining the health of the ecosystem. They prey mainly on old and ill fish, fighting diseases among fish populations. However, many species of dolphin are endangered due to climate change, pollution, noise pollution from sea traffic, and modern fishing techniques.
